Speaker Bio
George is the Senior Manager of Climate Action at the GSMA, providing strategic advice and analysis on energy, climate, and circular economy to support the mobile industry's transition to net zero by 2050.
Prior to joining the GSMA in 2023, he led the International Energy Agency’s analysis on the energy and climate impacts of digitalization, as well as on modelling and policy analysis on critical minerals. Over his eight years at the IEA and OECD, he coordinated cross-agency projects on Digitalization & Energy and Tracking Clean Energy Progress and contributed to multiple editions of the World Energy Outlook and Energy Technology Perspectives. He has also worked on environmental management and policy at Health Canada, Environment Canada, and the Vancouver Airport Authority.
