I lead the Network Strategy and Architecture function at Telenor Group which has operations in Nordics and Asia. One of the key strategy initiatives at Telenor is using AI to optimize energy consumption in the networks.
In my previous role as CTO for Telenor Infra, I have been responsible to operationalize a PPA for Telenor in Norway as Telenor aims to reduce its carbon footprint and optimize its energy consumption. I have also worked with introduction of solar power in the Radio network as well as Hydrogen and Ammonia based FuelCells. I am also part of the Autonomous Network project in TM Forum which aims to standardize and lift technology operations in CSPs to more advanced levels of autonomy. With AI becoming more available in all parts of network and with the rising demand for green power for large infrastructure facilities like Datacenters, I am keenly following the technology developments in the nuclear energy space while looking at pros and cons in this area.
