Kate Barecchia is VP, Deputy General Counsel & Global Data Privacy Officer at Imperva, Inc., a leading cybersecurity solutions provider. Kate enjoys working with business teams to translate complicated legal concepts into actionable realities for pragmatic business compliance.
Prior to joining Imperva, Kate served as in house counsel in the financial services and software industries. Kate also served as outside counsel to both small and large companies while at Blank Rome LLP, where she represented clients in court and regulatory proceedings. Kate has degrees in electrical engineering and biomedical engineering from Vanderbilt University and is admitted to practice law in Virginia and Pennsylvania. She has also been recognized as a Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals and holds CIPP/US, CIPP/E, and CIPM privacy certifications.
