Speaker Bio
Michaela Angonius is Head of Policy and Regulation at the GSMA – the global association representing the mobile industry. She leads the development of industry-wide positions on key issues such as connectivity, taxation, competition, security, and privacy, and orchestrates policy advocacy efforts to promote fair connectivity regulation which supports innovation in the sector. In addition to driving strategic regulatory work with a team of subject matter experts addressing issues in countries across the globe, she oversees policy initiatives in North America.
Michaela joined GSMA 2024 following her role as Vice President, Head of Legal CPS and EU Affairs at Telia Company AB, where she managed significant legal and strategic policy initiatives across the European Union. Previously, she worked with both Telenor ASA and Tele2 AB, handling regulatory and legal matters from Nepal to Norway, gaining extensive experience in diverse regulatory systems and questions.
Michaela earned a LLM in Law, focusing on EU Competition Law, from Uppsala University, Sweden, and a Bachelor of Commerce
