Speaker Bio
Akanksha works as the Head of the ClimateTech and Digital Utilities programmes. In the Central Insights Unit, she leads on the delivery of research and insights focused on the use of frontier technologies in emerging economies. She also manages the team’s in-country research engagements that include country-specific research publications as well as capacity building activities.
Akanksha has been with GSMA since 2012 and specialises in the uses of mobile technology for social good. She has previously worked in the research teams at GSMA M4D Utilities and GSMA Intelligence. Prior to joining GSMA, Akanksha worked as a Power and Utilities analyst at GlobalData in India.
Akanksha has an MBA degree from IBS Hyderabad (India) and a BSc. degree in Psychology from Rajasthan University, India.
