Dr. Rais Hussin is currently CEO of Technology Park Malaysia (MRANTI), an agency tasked with accelerating the demand-driven R&D in technology, positioning Malaysia as a nucleus for innovation and a leading technology producer nation. He is also the Founder of EMIR Research that specialises in data-driven research on any given national and international issues.

Over 28 years of experience launching and expanding large, complex and ultimately successful enterprise initiatives and international programs across a broad range of technical enterprises in for-profit and non-profit environments. Straddling between science, strategy, communication and policy advice, Dr Rais has sought to influence governments to adopt a private public partnership, as advocated by World Bank, to resolve any market break down or conundrums. Rais Hussin has written more than 1000 articles, technical reports, published conference abstracts, and papers tabled within international organizations. He is frequently invited to give talks and chair meetings. He continues to write to this day, writing truth to the power without fear or favor based on data, science and economics.
