Speaker Bio






Kei Sakaguchi received the M.E. degree in Information Processing from Tokyo Institute of Technology in 1998 and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from the same institution in 2006. He is currently a Vice President at the Institute of Science Tokyo (formerly Tokyo Institute of Technology), where he also serves as Dean of the Academy of Super Smart Society and Professor in the School of Engineering.
 His research focuses on next-generation wireless technologies, including 5G/6G networks, millimeter-wave communications, and V2X for automated driving. His recent work explores the integration of renewable energy in wireless systems and the development of off-grid backhaul communications using Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites. His contributions extend to digital twins, smart mobility, smart agriculture, smart ocean, and smart healthcare.
 Dr. Sakaguchi has received numerous awards, including the Outstanding Paper Awards from SDR Forum and IEICE (2004, 2005), three Best Paper Awards from the IEICE Communication Society (2012, 2013, 2015), and the Tutorial Paper Award from IEICE (2006). He is a Fellow of IEICE and a Senior Member of IEEE.
