After graduating from the University of Naples “Federico II” (Italy) in 1998 with a degree in Computer Science Engineering, Agostino had a brief stint in an IT company working on
management systems. In 2000, he joined Incard, a pioneer in smart card and SIM manufacturing, which was later acquired by STMicroelectronics in 2003. Agostino worked for more than 10 years in the Software Design Center, covering various roles related to the development of SIM/eSIM operating systems for telecom applications.
In 2013, he transitioned to Product Marketing, managing SIM/eSIM product lines for telecom operators, with a specific focus on IoT and Industrial segments. In 2023, Agostino was appointed Manager of the Secure Edge & IoT eSIM business unit, with responsibility for secure elements for edge authentication (STSAFE-A/L) and the SIM/eSIM for IoT and Industrial segments. In his role, Agostino is strongly promoting the Remote SIM Provisioning capability defined by GSMA and available on the ST4SIM product family.
